Fenne Lily is doing something rather special and different. She put out some tracks earlier this year, ‘Three Oh Nine’ and ‘What’s Good’, with little expectation, and has since soared to fame as one of the most exciting folk voices. Minimal, warm and with just a touch of warped guitar to accompany her ethereal vocal, ‘For A While’ was a song conceived on a sobering walk home from a night out. If you didn’t catch her electric performance at The Cecil Sharp House a couple of months ago, Lily returns to London on 31^st January to perform at The Islington. -HM
